The Clippers should be an improved team over the one we saw a year ago. With their current roster they should at worst be a western conference contender, barring any major injuries. The Tim Thomas signing is big, but they still lack in the perimeter shooting department. I don't expect Thomas to shoot nor play as well as he did while with the Suns. With a healthy Corey Maggette the Clippers will have one of the best frontcourts in the league. The backcourt will be good again with Sam Cassell at the controls, however one of the keys is the health of Cuttino Mobley. He played hurt last season and his shooting suffered. If Cuttino stays healthy and regains his shooting touch, expect the Clippers to ride that great front line deep into the playoffs.
